About The Position

As a Material Planner at 3M Panama Pacifico, you will manage the supply chain for raw material flow to meet customer requirements. This role involves scheduling procurement, reviewing material flow parameters, and managing raw material inventory levels. You will work to improve the planning process and enhance customer service, inventory investment, and supply chain efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics and Transportation, or related fields.
• 2-3 years of experience in supply chain management, production operations management, or materials management roles.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Data management and analysis skills.
• Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft 365 programs.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Effective communication skills with internal and external contacts.

Nice To Haves

• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
• Negotiation skills

Responsibilities

• Manage supply chain for raw material flow to support customer requirements.
• Schedule procurement for a specified group of materials.
• Review material flow parameters such as order quantity, lot size, and replenishment interval.
• Manage raw material inventory buffer quantities.
• Conduct MRP analysis to define replacement quantities considering inventory value.
• Generate and communicate new purchase orders and follow up for timely supply.
• Execute direct communication with suppliers regarding future requirements and expected delivery dates.
• Manage requirements and changes in purchase orders to suppliers, coordinating adjustments in dates and quantities.
• Coordinate key purchasing parameters such as lead times and safety stocks.
• Conduct alignment meetings with production planning, logistics, purchasing, warehouse, and quality.
