About the position

The Material Program Manager (MPM) will oversee Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) activities within the Naval Power Mission Area at Raytheon. This role serves as a critical interface between Supply Chain and Integrated Product Teams (IPT), focusing on production, recertification, and obsolescence contracts. The MPM is responsible for developing material strategies, forecasting, ensuring compliance with cost and schedule requirements, and creating metrics to monitor GSCM health.

Responsibilities

• Engage with IPT leadership on material strategy execution
• Communicate and translate customer and product requirements to suppliers
• Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity, and risk
• Propose innovative business solutions to increase operational efficiencies
• Operate with minimal oversight while recognizing when assistance is needed
• Adapt to both strategic and tactical tasks
• Influence team decisions and outcomes
• Manage multiple conflicting priorities
• Process information from multiple sources to achieve successful outcomes
• Oversee metrics and leading indicators for Supply Chain success
• Develop and execute Risk & Opportunity (R&O) plans and manage sales plans

Requirements

• A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
• U.S. citizenship is required

Nice-to-haves

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience managing budgets in support of the Estimate at Completion (EAC) process
• EVMS certification
• Experience leading or participating in cross-functional teams
• Ability to lead managerial efforts and resolve conflicts
• High degree of financial acumen and strong supplier negotiation skills
