About the position

The Material Sales Representative at Corrpro Companies, Inc. is responsible for the sale and support of the materials product line within an assigned territory. This remote position focuses on meeting and exceeding sales and margin goals while maintaining strong customer relationships and managing the sales process effectively. The role involves generating leads, managing proposals, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the sale and support of the materials product line in an assigned territory
  • Meet or exceed sales and margin goals for the Materials product line
  • Maximize price through market knowledge
  • Maintain and develop strong customer relationships within your territory
  • Generate, qualify and develop leads and contacts that lead to Material sales
  • Manage the proposal, order entry process, and assist with logistics for the Materials business within the territory
  • Ensure daily sales activity concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and problems concerning customer/vendor relationships are up to date in Salesforce
  • Remain current and report on market trends, competitive activity and product development
  • Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the products and services offered by Corrpro
  • Work with the Commercial Managers and Business Development Managers to gather current costs for materials to maximize sales within the territory
  • Assist A/R in collections and problem resolution, and knowledge of customers' credit worthiness
  • Generate and document market intelligence for assigned accounts including market size, buying practices, and decision makers
  • Attend trade shows and related conventions to promote company products and services

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree or High School Diploma preferred
  • 3 years of proven inside sales experience with strong customer service background
  • Technical sales experience or knowledge or training of corrosion services or monitoring industry preferred
  • Expertise with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Salesforce (or other CRM)
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations and apply basic statistical concepts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to persuade, motivate and empower clients and co-workers to action
  • Experience dealing with individuals at all levels of an organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, well-organized and a team player
