About the position
The position at Delta Faucet Company involves a proactive approach to promoting and supporting a safe working environment. Employees are required to complete Hazardous Observation forms as needed and promptly report all safety concerns. The role includes counting, weighing, or measuring incoming or outgoing items to ensure they match identifying information and variety against schedules or orders. Additionally, employees will examine products and packaging for damage and correct piece counts, completing necessary documentation forms. The position also requires resolving problems using knowledge of shipping, receiving, and stock operations, as well as operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move stock and reorganize storage. Other responsibilities include participating in routing and counting of items, performing 5S duties, labeling products, preparing items for shipping, and utilizing SAP for transactions. Employees will support the implementation and organization of warehousing for finished goods and components, participate in ordering standard stock items, and manage the movement of returnable containers and skids throughout the facility. Accurate movement of products from staging areas to rack locations is also essential, along with other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Promote and support a safe working environment by completing Hazardous Observation forms and reporting safety concerns.
- Count, weigh, or measure incoming or outgoing items to ensure they match schedules or orders.
- Examine products and packaging for damage and correct piece counts, completing necessary documentation.
- Resolve problems using knowledge of shipping, receiving, and stock operations.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move stock and reorganize storage.
- Participate in routing and counting of all items.
- Perform 5S duties and maintain checklists for the work area.
- Label boxed and skidded products; prepare products for shipping via FedEx and IT truck to Jackson.
- Perform transactions using SAP.
- Understand material flow and support warehousing organization for finished goods and components.
- Utilize computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasks.
- Participate in ordering standard stock items and recommend additions or deletions.
- Organize and move returnable containers and skids throughout the facility.
- Accurately move products from staging areas to rack locations.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
