About the position

Howmet Aerospace, a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries, is seeking a Material Testing Coordinator for the first shift position within the Whitehall Casting Operation. This role is crucial in maintaining, expediting, and documenting master heat qualification testing through various processes to meet customer delivery requirements and HWC commitments. The Material Testing Coordinator will also review nonconforming test materials for cause and corrective action, monitor qualification processes to identify areas for improvements and cost reduction, and provide support to Process Owners as required. Additionally, this position will provide backup for certification, shipping, and other Process Owner functions as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining, expediting, and documenting master heat qualification testing through various processes to meet customer delivery requirements and HWC commitments
• Reviews nonconforming test materials for cause and corrective action
• Monitors the qualification processes to identify areas for improvements and cost reduction
• Provides support to Process Owners as required
• Provides backup for certification, shipping, and other Process Owner functions as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Minimum of two years continuous work experience post high school
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice-to-haves

• Good oral and written communication skills are a must
• Must be PC literate in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with LIMS, Teamcenter, and Microsoft Outlook is preferred
• Previous work history working in a manufacturing environment
