About the position

The Materials and Operations Clerk at MAC Trailer Enterprises, Inc. plays a crucial role in coordinating the distribution of materials for the production of trailers. This position involves managing incoming deliveries, verifying material accuracy, and ensuring that all materials are properly recorded and organized within the warehouse. The role is essential for maintaining the efficiency of production operations and requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Collect paperwork from drivers during deliveries.
• Weigh outside loads before unloading and after unloading.
• Observe materials coming off trucks for any damage.
• Check the accuracy of truck bills for delivered packages.
• Gather purchase orders (POs) from paperwork and pull up receivers for each PO.
• Alert purchasers about over shipments and early POs.
• Report discrepancies such as incorrect quantities or quality concerns to the warehouse supervisor.
• Separate mixed materials and check for accuracy, quantity, and quality before entering them into the system.
• Scan materials and enter quantities into the system after verification.
• Scan POs and enter received quantities into record keeping.
• Tag all materials with proper inventory tags and organize them in staging areas.
• Assist other employees as needed within the area of assignment.
• Maintain a clean work area during and at the end of the shift.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One-year related certification from college or technical school preferred.
• Related experience with data entry is required.
• Experience with inventory data entry is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings and specifications.
• Basic math skills and ability to interpret measurements.
• Ability to concentrate on tasks without distraction.
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
• Experience in tractor trailer building or knowledge is preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing related fields is preferred.
