About the position

The Materials and Process Engineering Manager at Tektree is responsible for enhancing coating quality, performance, and cost-efficiency through research and implementation of materials, tools, and processes. This role involves leading new product development, troubleshooting coating processes, and ensuring quality standards while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Research and implement materials, tools, and processes to enhance coating quality, performance, and cost-efficiency.
• Lead new product development and coating trials; serve as a technical expert during product launches.
• Troubleshoot coating processes, develop product specs, and ensure quality standards.
• Oversee lab activities, calibrate equipment, and manage QC testing/reporting.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams; support claim investigations.
• Train production teams on QC procedures and equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in technical services management.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
• Background in production metrics, continuous improvement, and lean principles.
• Effective communicator with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in color management/color control/coating techniques (1 year required).
• Experience in metal fabrication (1 year required).
• Experience in automotive or consumer goods manufacturing industry (1 year required).
