About the position

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for managing the logistics of materials, samples, and supplies within a production environment. This role involves transporting materials between the warehouse and production areas, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and maintaining inventory levels. The position requires effective communication and problem-solving skills to support production efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the logistics of all materials, samples, supplies, pallets, trays, and containers from the warehouse to the production rooms and vice versa.
  • Understand the scheduling tools for each of the corresponding production rooms.
  • Move and transport materials on Broadway as required by the production areas, following all safety precautions.
  • Move trash, cardboard, and other disposals located on Broadway as needed.
  • Perform material transactions in Oracle.
  • Ensure adherence to visual controls on Broadway and maintain them in good condition.
  • Keep the supply of supermarkets and adjust quantities as needs change.
  • Participate in problem-solving issues that might impact quality or delay material movement.
  • Escalate problems that may impact a production area in a timely manner.
  • Participate in team accountability meetings.
  • Assist in training new employees on effective Material Coordinator practices.
  • Identify and act on unsafe conditions and behaviors immediately.
  • Contribute to hazard spots and MyCI goals.
  • Promote a safe, performance-oriented, and harmonious work environment.
  • Back up the team Lead as required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience with Forklift and Pallet Jack
  • Experience with Oracle and Agile
  • Knowledge of cGMP practices
  • Good working knowledge of GMP's
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • General understanding of recordkeeping and mathematics

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in logistics for 2 years
  • Experience with electric pallet jack for 2 years
  • Experience with cGMP for 2 years
