About the position

The Materials Development Engineer will play a crucial role in driving development and qualification projects for new media and adhesive formulations within a leading manufacturing company. This position involves conducting experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating with the R&D team to innovate air filtration solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead research activities for adhesives, filter media, and materials development projects from conceptualization to implementation.
• Test and evaluate new materials in cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
• Collaborate with universities and research centers to coordinate external tests and studies for new materials development.
• Monitor research results from external parties and evaluate new technologies for filtration applications, identifying opportunities for integration into existing or future projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years project management experience.
• Experience with polyurethanes, RTV silicones, PVA, EVA, and/or polyamide adhesives.
• Proven experience in materials research, particularly in the development of adhesives.
• Proficiency or a strong understanding of GCMS, SEM, optical microscope, rheometer, penetrometer, and other laboratory equipment and analysis techniques.
• Strong understanding of polymer chemistry, surface science, and material characterization methods.
