About the position
The Materials Examiner & Identifier (Forklift Operator) role involves examining and identifying materials and equipment within the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast. The position requires following specific work instructions to classify materials, assess their condition, and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Follow work sequence instructions to perform assigned tasks related to material examination and identification.
- Classify materials and equipment by number, size, classification, and condition.
- Assess the condition of highly specialized materials and equipment to determine correct disposition.
- Examine items to determine their characteristics.
- Brief and update the immediate depot supervisor of product discrepancies.
Requirements
- Experience operating forklifts and handling materials safely.
- Ability to classify and assess materials and equipment accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
