About the position

The Materials Handler (FLO) position involves performing material receipt, storage, and issue operations in various warehouse locations. The role requires independent operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to manage materials effectively, ensuring they are stored and staged appropriately based on their nature. The incumbent will also be responsible for processing transactions using computer and barcode equipment, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining safety and security of materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform material receipt, storage, and issue operations in all warehouse locations.
• Independently store and stage material in proper warehouse locations.
• Process transactions for material data systems using computer and barcode equipment.
• Load and unload material from trucks and other conveyances.
• Move material throughout warehouse areas using appropriate Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Ensure that material is properly secured on pallets and protected from exposure to the elements.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Ability to perform common tasks of the job under close supervision, such as moving, storing, picking, and packing materials.
• Experience in handling weights of up to 40 pounds unassisted and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to operate hand and foot controls while driving and using MHE.
