About the position

The Purchasing Associate plays a crucial role in managing the inventory of supplies for the hospital, ensuring that both the central storeroom and Surgery have adequate stock. This position involves processing freight, distributing supplies, and maintaining accurate records of inventory and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Place orders to maintain adequate inventory of supplies in the central storeroom and Surgery.
• Process incoming and outgoing freight.
• Distribute departmental supplies as needed.
• Maintain a master list and location of supplies in the central storeroom.
• Keep a current price list of supplies.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull over 50 pounds.
