About the position

The Material Operations Lead at Global Crossing Airlines is responsible for overseeing aircraft part warehouses to support maintenance operations. This role focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy, compliance standards, and ensuring the availability of parts for aircraft maintenance. The position requires collaboration with various departments to improve material availability and control costs, while also ensuring safe and efficient warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and support for daily stores functions including receiving, binning, and shipping of aircraft parts.
• Collaborate with Repairs, Purchasing, Planning, and Maintenance to improve material availability and control costs.
• Monitor operating metrics and resolve any performance issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and administer the cycle/physical count program.
• Complete and ensure accuracy of all inventory transactions in eMRO-TRAX.
• Ensure parts availability for scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance events.
• Establish schedules and provide guidance to warehouse staff.
• Ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies in warehouse operations.
• Manage self-life and tooling calibration programs to prevent the use of expired parts or tools.
• Continuously monitor processes for improvements and risk mitigation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of warehouse operations experience managing complex inventories, preferably in an airline environment.
• Willingness to operate in a 24/7 environment.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Experience with eMRO-TRAX preferred.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced computer skills including maintenance/engineering and inventory systems, Microsoft Office, etc.
• Knowledge of leadership and coaching techniques.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage varying workloads.
• Strong communication skills via phone, email, and in-person.
