About the position

The Materials Planner/Purchasing Analyst is responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of materials through the production cycle. This role involves determining material requirements based on engineering and production schedules, coordinating with purchasing, production, and engineering teams, and ensuring the integrity of business system data related to procurement.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle.
• Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules.
• Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering.
• Develops specifications for new contract orders.
• Responsible for procurement, business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise-wide systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and no experience, or at least 2 years of shop order planning and purchasing experience.
