About the position

The Materials Planner/Scheduler II at Meyer Utility Structures is responsible for managing the inventory of the Fort Worth utility pole manufacturing plant and ensuring that material resources align with production schedules. This role involves determining material specifications, creating and maintaining inventory schedules, and coordinating with various internal departments to support production needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the inventory of the Fort Worth utility pole manufacturing plant.
  • Ensure material resources are consistent with production schedules.
  • Determine material specifications for production.
  • Create and maintain inventory schedules.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to support production needs.
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators related to transportation management processes.
  • Execute root cause analysis utilizing transportation management operating systems.
  • Prepare analysis and data in support of sales activities.
  • Provide support for data processing, reporting, and customer inquiries.
  • Work with internal subject matter experts to resolve problems and support implementations.
  • Process and distribute weekly customer metrics and develop performance reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field, or eight years of equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of two years of transportation operations experience, including carrier management, transportation planning, project management, and logistics analysis.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office Products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
