About the position
The Materials Planner at Everidge is responsible for managing the Bill of Materials (BOM) process, ensuring accurate costing and route time planning, and collaborating with production and supply chain teams to facilitate effective materials planning. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of BOMs and ensuring that materials are available for manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the coordination of the Bill of Materials (BOM) management process.
- Create and maintain accurate Bill of Materials for assigned products.
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure that BOMs reflect current product designs.
- Update BOMs to reflect changes in design, materials, or suppliers.
- Conduct regular BOM audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure BOM accuracy in MRP system.
- Coordinate costing and route time planning.
- Work with production and procurement/supply chain team to ensure materials are available for manufacturing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in BOM management.
- APICS certification and/or American Purchasing Society certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in BOM Management software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge/experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX.
- Ability to read blueprints.
