About the position
Wanco Inc. is seeking an experienced Materials Planner to manage and support the ERP material planning system for both purchased and manufactured materials in their Arvada, CO production facility. The role involves overseeing S&OP meetings, establishing MRP and Pull item attributes, and providing necessary reporting and analysis to support production and purchasing decisions.
Responsibilities
- Learn and become SME on all aspects of MRP, PRP, supply and demand, and item master attributes within Plex ERP system.
- Developing and deploying forecast exploding procedure.
- Updating / deploying monthly forecast.
- Supporting ECR process by setting up all new items with applicable planning attributes.
- Provide purchasing and production with necessary buy / build signaling.
- Provide applicable KPIs and reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- An applicable Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3 or more years' experience working in a manufacturing and or supply chain environment.
- Demonstrated experience in setting up and managing a forecast explosion / deployment process.
- Demonstrated experience in setting up and managing both pull and MRP logic within an ERP system.
- Demonstrated experience with pull inventory systems such as min/max or reorder point.
- Data analysis and management including ability to create exports, scripts, etc.
- Demonstrated Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Detailed and demonstrated knowledge and experience with MRP systems, item attributes, and pull inventory methods.
- Analytical and mathematical capabilities.
- Effective relationship building skills.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills are a must.
