About the position

The Materials Process Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, researching, designing, and developing advanced materials and their fabrication processes. This role is crucial for optimizing materials for various engineering applications, ensuring high performance and reliability in engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Utilize expertise in chemistry, physics, and material behavior to create specifications for metallic, non-metallic, and composite materials.
• Conduct thorough analyses of material properties and processing methods to develop design allowables and quality engineering specifications.
• Engage in failure analysis of components and systems, predict material life cycles, and define requirements to enhance product durability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to review and approve material processing procedures, ensuring alignment with quality and performance standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in materials engineering within the Aerospace field.
• Proven track record in analyzing and developing materials for engineering applications.
• Strong understanding of material properties, processing techniques, and fabrication methods for metallic, non-metallic, and composite materials.
• Proficiency in failure analysis, life prediction, and quality engineering specifications.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to materials and engineering design.
