About the position

The Materials/Production Planner plays a vital role in managing material requirements for product development projects within a leading contract manufacturing company specializing in semiconductor capital equipment. This position involves demand forecasting, inventory management, supplier coordination, and data analysis to ensure efficient material flow and support production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production schedules, sales forecasts, and historical data to forecast material requirements and adjust plans accordingly.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without excess.
• Liaise with purchasing to ensure timely delivery of materials, negotiate terms, place orders, and manage supplier relationships to resolve any issues.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to align material availability with production schedules and address any material shortages or delays promptly.
• Utilize data analysis tools to track inventory trends, identify potential issues, and provide actionable insights to improve material flow and reduce costs.
• Prepare and present regular reports on inventory status, material usage, and other key metrics to management.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in material planning and procurement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 2 years' experience preferred
• Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in project management tools and software is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
