About the position

The Materials Runner/Driver at Shamrock Roofing is responsible for the efficient pickup and delivery of materials to job sites, ensuring that all materials are accounted for and properly documented. This role is crucial in supporting the roofing and construction operations of the company, which prides itself on a family-oriented culture and opportunities for employee advancement.

Responsibilities

• Pick up materials from storage or material houses and double-check said materials before delivery to the job site.
• Return any unused materials back to the supplier.
• Upload paperwork in corresponding jobs to reflect pick up/return of materials.
• Retrieve materials from job sites as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment as required.
• Clean and maintain stock areas.
• Maintain tools and equipment in working condition.
• Work with the company fleet manager to help maintain vehicles.
• Help maintain accurate material inventory.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to operate various equipment such as simple hand tools.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Frequent lifting from 5-40 lbs, unassisted.
• Access and mobility in tight spaces.
• Ability to work at heights over 5 feet often.
• Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous roofing experience is a big plus.
• Bilingual is encouraged.
