About the position
The Materials Support II role is designed to provide versatile support across multiple functions within the warehouse and production environment. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of various roles, including Transporter, Kitchen Loader, and Warehouse Associate, ensuring efficient and accurate task execution as directed by supervision.
Responsibilities
- Fill in and/or assist the Transporter by understanding pick lists and fulfillment paperwork, and utilizing the barcode scanner to accurately scan items to and from inventory locations in D365 and Warehouse Management systems.
- Fill in and/or assist the Kitchen Loader by completing paperwork accurately, recording production and batch numbers, and utilizing the barcode scanner to report and transfer meals in D365.
- Fill in and/or assist the pull/putaway positions by pulling product from freezers and utilizing the barcode scanner to scan items from inventory into consumption.
- Fill in and/or assist the Dock Team by operating forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and manual pallet jacks; loading and unloading trucks; properly completing shipping and receiving documents; and utilizing the barcode scanner to move product within D365.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Follow all company GMP and safety policies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Candidates are expected to obtain this licensure within 6 months of hire.
- Demonstrated ability to learn, adapt, and take direction.
- Strong initiative to take ownership of specific tasks.
- Solid multi-tasking and organizational skills to handle various tasks from day to day.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work with others.
Nice-to-haves
- 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse or production environment.
- Forklift and electric pallet jack experience.
- Prior inventory experience.
- D365 software knowledge is a plus.
- Experience in food production or the food industry.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
