About the position
The Materials Testing Technician role involves performing testing, observation, and inspection in accordance with specified procedures. The technician is responsible for documenting findings, analyzing data for accuracy, and communicating results to the Project Manager. This position also includes assisting higher-level technicians, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform testing, observation, and inspection as directed.
- Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
- Perform basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communication and submittal to the Project Manager.
- Communicate information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed by the PM.
- Assist higher level technicians on complex tasks.
- Maintain assigned equipment and related calibration.
- Follow safety rules and practices for all projects.
- Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work.
- Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Maintain quality standards on all projects.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of construction experience in the field
- 2+ Certifications (ACI/WASEL/ICC/NICET)
- Reliable transportation - Truck as vehicle
