About the position

The Maternal-Child Systems Project Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting system initiatives and strategies for the Family and Community Systems Team (FCST). This position is primarily focused on overseeing grant management for Project SOAR, which is designed to enhance the early childhood developmental health system. The coordinator will collaborate closely with the FCST Lead and Nurse Consultant to develop, support, and align maternal and child systems projects within the FCST and across the Bureau of Family Health. This role requires a proactive approach to managing multiple projects and ensuring that all initiatives are aligned with the overarching goals of the organization. In addition to grant management, the coordinator will be responsible for providing oversight and leadership for various maternal and child systems initiatives. This includes managing the Project SOAR Grant with support from the Principal Investigator and State Lead, as well as coordinating the development, review, and editing of project briefs and grant reports related to SOAR and Maternal/Child Care Coordination. The coordinator will also play a key role in performance measurement and evaluation, offering leadership and coordinating continuous quality improvement activities across project activities and strategies. This involves working closely with the Evaluation Consultant, BFH Epidemiologist, and SOAR Outreach Coordinator to ensure high-quality data collection and storage. Effective collaboration and communication are essential components of this role. The coordinator will ensure that project communications occur seamlessly across the FCST and with Bureau of Family Health leadership. This includes overseeing the review and approval process for all external and public-facing materials, as well as working with the Communications Team and Outreach Coordinator to create project communication and marketing materials. Additionally, the coordinator will manage work plan documentation and maintain project boards on Monday.com, providing technical assistance and training for BFH teams and community providers in areas of content expertise. The role may also involve special projects, such as collaborating with the Family Resource Center on the development of Coordinated Intake and Referral Service strategies, as well as other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and leadership for FCST maternal/child systems initiatives.
  • Manage Project SOAR Grant with support from the Principal Investigator and State Lead.
  • Coordinate the development, review, and editing of project briefs and grant reports (SOAR, Maternal/Child Care Coordination).
  • Support alignment of system-strengthening goals, objectives, and strategies across projects.
  • Offer leadership and coordinate continuous quality improvement activities across project activities/strategies.
  • Support the Evaluation Consultant, BFH Epidemiologist, and SOAR Outreach Coordinator with grant measurement and evaluation.
  • Work with the team to ensure high-quality data collection and storage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (public health, social work, etc.).
  • Experience in project management, preferably with a focus on maternal and child health.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency in data collection and evaluation methods.
  • Familiarity with grant management processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP certification (preferred).
  • Experience with community outreach and engagement.
  • Knowledge of early childhood developmental health systems.
