About the position

The Math and Physics Tutor position involves providing specialized tutoring services to students in math and/or physics. Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students in Math and/or Physics.
• Assess students' learning needs and create personalized lesson plans to address their specific areas of improvement.
• Utilize effective teaching strategies and learning technology to enhance students' understanding and retention of the material.
• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents/guardians.
• Assist students with homework assignments and test preparation.
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
• Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress.

Requirements

• Experience working with students in an educational setting, preferably as a tutor or teacher.
• Strong knowledge and expertise in the subjects being tutored (Math and/or Physics).
• Excellent communication skills to effectively explain complex concepts to students of varying learning abilities.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and preferences.
• Proficiency in utilizing learning technology and resources to enhance the tutoring experience.
• Classroom management skills to maintain a productive and focused learning environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Cross subject proficiency in math and physics is beneficial but not necessary.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts is a plus.
