About the position
Fusion Academy is seeking a dedicated Math and Science Teacher to provide a supportive and student-centered classroom environment. This role focuses on promoting critical thinking, self-awareness, and inclusion while addressing the individual academic and emotional needs of students in grades 6-12 through a differentiated teaching approach. The teacher will engage in one-to-one instruction across various subjects, including Math and Science, and will also play a significant mentoring role for students.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one teaching experience in Math and Science subjects for grades 6-12.
- Adapt and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
- Maintain complete and accurate teacher and student records.
- Develop and maintain positive communication between parents and teachers.
- Contribute to the campus community and participate in professional development.
- Mentor students and provide tutoring as needed.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Solid subject matter knowledge in Math and Science areas such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus.
- Teaching credentials are a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience with students with learning differences and ADHD is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and basic computer proficiency.
