About the position

We are seeking an energetic and experienced Math Instructor to join our team in Burlington, MA. The role involves assisting students individually and in small groups to help them understand educational concepts, complete assignments, and prepare for tests. The ideal candidate should be reliable, understanding, and passionate about education, with a focus on helping students reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Help students to understand new concepts
• Assist students in preparing for tests and completing assignments
• Teach problem-solving skills
• Teach Academy provided lessons per the lesson plan
• Update the Academy Supervisors of weekly student progress

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Mathematics Instructor / Tutor is preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Patient, understanding, and reliable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
• Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines

Nice-to-haves

• May apply if you are an enrolled college student who has studied relevant Mathematics courses in College for at least two years
• Previous experience teaching at the k-12 level is preferred
