About the position
The Math/Physics Instructor at Mid-Plains Community College is responsible for teaching a comprehensive range of mathematics courses, from developmental levels to differential equations, while also incorporating physics into the curriculum. The role emphasizes delivering an engaging and high-standard educational experience, utilizing innovative teaching methods to effectively reach and support students. The position is set to begin on August 11, 2025, and is based at the McCook campus.
Responsibilities
- Teach all levels of Mathematics, from developmental education to differential equations.
- Deliver engaging and high-quality curriculum in Mathematics and Physics.
- Utilize innovative and creative teaching methods to reach students effectively.
- Incorporate current educational technologies in instruction, especially in ITV and online formats.
- Support students in a computer math lab/center environment.
Requirements
- Master's degree in mathematics or physics with at least 18 graduate hours in Mathematics.
- Demonstrated ability to teach all levels of mathematics.
- Experience teaching Physics is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in using current educational technologies.
