About the position

The Multi-Classroom Leader 1 (MCL1) is responsible for coaching and leading a team of 3-6 teachers while also teaching students. This role focuses on establishing high expectations for student achievement, organizing teaching roles based on individual strengths, and ensuring effective instructional practices to promote high-progress learning for all students. The MCL1 collaborates with the team to review student progress and adapt instruction accordingly, while also providing feedback to the principal regarding team performance and development.

Responsibilities

• Intensively coach 3-6 teachers on the caseload.
• Teach students through various instructional models.
• Establish team members' roles and goals annually.
• Organize teaching roles to fit each teacher's strengths and professional development goals.
• Review student progress and adapt instruction to ensure high-progress learning.
• Collaborate with the team to implement new ideas and innovations to improve learning.
• Provide feedback to the principal on team selection, evaluation, and development.
• Set high expectations for student achievement and behavior.
• Create instructional tools and materials for team teachers.
• Design assessments that accurately measure student progress.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
• At least 4 years of prior teaching experience.
• 3 years of demonstrated evidence of high-progress student outcomes in relevant subjects.
• Evidence of initiative and effective leadership/coaching of adults for at least 1-2 years.
• Knowledge of subject matter being taught.
• Technology proficiency and knowledge of digital learning may be required.
