About the position

As a Math Instructor at Mathnasium, you will play a crucial role in helping students in grades K-12 understand and enjoy math concepts. The position focuses on building students' confidence in their math skills through customized learning plans and engaging teaching methods. Instructors will work part-time, primarily in the afternoons, and will receive paid training to familiarize themselves with Mathnasium's curriculum and teaching strategies.

Responsibilities

• Teach math concepts to students in grades K-12 based on their customized learning plans.
• Assist students with homework completion and provide enrichment activities.
• Help students develop a growth mindset and confidence in their math abilities.
• Participate in paid training to learn Mathnasium's curriculum and teaching strategies.
• Work 2+ days per week for 3-4 hour shifts, primarily in the afternoons.

Requirements

• Math proficiency up to Algebra is required; proficiency through Geometry and Calculus is preferred.
• Exceptional score on Mathnasium's Math Literacy exam (material from 2nd grade and up).
• Availability for at least 2 weekday shifts.
• Clear record on a state and national background check.
