About the position
The Math Teacher at Mid-Del School District is responsible for creating a positive classroom environment that fosters academic and social development among students. The teacher will adhere to district policies while providing instruction in mathematics, including geometry and algebra, and will maintain effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues. The role requires collaboration with other professionals to address students' diverse needs and ongoing professional development.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment for student development.
- Teach academic content in mathematics as per the curriculum adopted by the Board of Education.
- Maintain records and a comprehensive database for state and federal reporting requirements.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to individual student needs.
- Monitor and evaluate students' academic and social growth, making necessary adjustments.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and school programs.
- Collaborate with other staff to assess and provide interventions for students' needs.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Teaching certification recognized by the State of Oklahoma.
- Previous experience with children or in a classroom setting is preferred.
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
