Math Teacher

About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to students. This role involves teaching various mathematical topics, including Trigonometry, Discrete Math, and more, while fostering a supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.

Responsibilities

• Teach mathematical concepts such as Trigonometry, Discrete Math, and other relevant topics.
• Provide tutoring and mentoring to students who require additional support in understanding mathematical principles.
• Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Create a positive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational programs and share best practices.
• Utilize library services and resources to enrich the learning experience for students.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.

Requirements

• A degree in Mathematics or a related field is preferred.
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey mathematical ideas and engage students.
• Ability to calculate and dissect complex problems into manageable parts for better understanding.
• Experience in mentoring students is beneficial, fostering their academic growth and confidence in mathematics.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with molecular biology or cell biology concepts is a plus but not required.
