About the position

The Math Tutor / Instructor position at Mathnasium of East Wichita is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional math instruction to students. The mission of Mathnasium is to enhance students' confidence and understanding of mathematics, making it enjoyable and accessible. The role involves working with students in a supportive and energetic environment, utilizing prepared teaching materials and methods to facilitate learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional math instruction using Mathnasium teaching materials.
• Assess student progress and evaluate their work and math homework.
• Provide individual instruction in a small group setting.
• Assist with occasional non-teaching/instructional tasks.

Requirements

• Exceptional math competency through at least high school Algebra 1 (higher is better).
• Pass a math competency exam prior to being hired.
• A passion for working with students.
• Prior experience with children is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and an outgoing personality.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, with clear and distinct spoken English.
• Comfortable with digital technology.
• Able and willing to work on site.
