There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.

Mathnasium is dedicated to changing lives through math, and we are currently seeking exceptional tutors to join our team at the Ankeny, IA and/or Johnston-Grimes Centers. As a Mathnasium instructor, you will be a motivated, responsible, and passionate math expert who helps students build number sense, boost their confidence, and gain a deep understanding of math concepts. Your role will involve creating a positive, engaging, and fun learning environment, learning and implementing the Mathnasium curriculum and teaching methods, and participating in ongoing training to enhance your skills and effectiveness as a tutor. In this part-time position, you will have the opportunity to tutor students in math across all grade levels from 1 to 12. The pay for this role starts at $15.00 to $16.50 per hour, and you can expect to work an average of 8-15 hours per week. All tutoring will take place in-center, meaning you will not have to plan lessons or assign homework, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality instruction. Additionally, you will deepen your understanding of math through extensive training in the Mathnasium Method, which is designed to equip you with the tools necessary to effectively teach and engage students. We are looking for individuals who are at least 16 years old and are willing to commit to working with us for a minimum of 9 months. While experience in tutoring or working with children in grades 1-12 is preferred, it is essential that you possess math proficiency through Algebra 2, with Pre-Calculus or Calculus being a plus. The application process includes completing a mobile-friendly online application, scheduling an in-person employment test covering basic math through Algebra 2 and Geometry, and participating in an interview with our Center Director and Personnel Director. We aim to communicate our hiring decision within a week of your interview, and we are excited to welcome new team members who are eager to make a difference in students' lives through math education.
