About the position
The Mathematics - Associate Instructor position at Cabrillo College is a part-time faculty role focused on teaching various mathematics courses to a diverse student population. Responsibilities
- Teach assigned mathematics classes, which may include evening or off-campus assignments.
- Engage in participatory governance committees and initiatives such as Guided Pathways.
- Maintain accurate records of student enrollment, attendance, and academic progress.
- Provide academic assistance and related services to students during scheduled office hours.
- Participate in District investigations and student grievance matters as required.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to diverse backgrounds of students, faculty, and staff.
- Complete required District trainings such as Title IX and EEO/Diversity.
Requirements
- Master's in mathematics or applied mathematics, or
- Bachelor's in mathematics or applied mathematics AND a Master's in statistics, physics, or mathematics education, or
- Possess a lifetime California Community College Instructor credential in Mathematics.
