Responsibilities
- Create and deliver curriculum that maintains a positive learning climate.
- Plan, develop, and execute lesson plans for individual students and small groups.
- Assess student learning using various formal and informal methods.
- Prepare and correct examinations and proctor assessments.
- Participate in student study teams, 504 planning, and IEP processes as needed.
- Manage daily recording and publishing of student attendance and grades.
- Communicate school and district policies to students, staff, and parents.
- Participate in professional development activities and stay current in teaching fields.
- Assist in safety inspections and safety drill practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues on departmental meetings and initiatives.
Requirements
- Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate in subject area.
- Bachelor's degree in subject area, Education, or related field.
- Proficiency in teacher competency standards including instructional design and assessment.
- Valid AZ Department of Public Safety (DPS) Identity Verified Print (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree in subject area, Education, or Administration.
- Teaching experience in a secondary educational setting.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Endorsements in any related field.
