About the position

Agile Decision Sciences, LLC is seeking a Maximo Systems Administrator to support our contract in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have experience in Maximo tuning, accounts management, creating reports, documentation, data imports/exports, and managing database components. This position is primarily hybrid with some 2-3 days a week telework possible. The Maximo Systems Administrator will be responsible for the administration and day-to-day support of the WHS Maximo application suite environments, including IBM control desk, IBM Maximo mobile, BIRT, Cognos, and related applications. Key responsibilities include Maximo tuning, accounts management, creating reports, documentation, data imports/exports, planning and managing the database components of the software, patch management, upgrades, and integration. The administrator will work with the IT Team to troubleshoot user login, network, and database issues. Configuration Change Management, report development, and configuration of the Maximo version 7.6 or MAS9.x using internal application configuration tools are also essential tasks. The role involves providing tier II, Tier III, and O&M groups support for the Maximo applications suite, Mobile program, and reporting related to Maximo, as well as supporting the expansion of Maximo program capabilities. Training and support to end users on Maximo functionalities and best practices will be provided, along with troubleshooting issues related to Maximo functionality. The administrator will manage the testing, approval, and implementation of any configuration changes to the production environment and support WHS/ITD as needed. Additionally, the administrator will install, configure, and upgrade IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS9.x) software and related components, administer and maintain Maximo application servers, database servers, and other system components, and perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure high availability and reliability of the Maximo system. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement system enhancements, integrations, and customizations is also a key aspect of this role. The administrator will develop and maintain system documentation, manage user access and security settings within Maximo, and coordinate with vendors and support teams to resolve technical issues and implement system patches and upgrades.

Responsibilities

  • Maximo tuning, accounts management, creating reports, documentation, data imports/exports, planning and managing the database components of the software, patch management, upgrades, and integration.
  • Work with IT Team to troubleshoot user login, network, and databases issues.
  • Configuration Change Management, report development, configuration of the Maximo version 7.6 or MAS9.x using internal application configuration tools.
  • Provide tier II, Tier III and O&M groups support for the Maximo applications suite, Mobile program, reporting related to Maximo, providing support for the expansion of Maximo program capabilities.
  • Provide training and support to end users on Maximo functionalities and best practices.

  • Manage user access and security settings within Maximo, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and support teams to resolve technical issues and implement system patches and upgrades.

Requirements

  • Manage Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) System administration, module configuration, workflow, and development.
  • Assist in adding, modifying, and granting access to Maximo EAM System.
  • Work with IT to apply, test and verify fixes/patches to Maximo EAM System.
  • Support Maximo EAM System Upgrade Projects.
  • Identify and communicate Maximo EAM System defects to vendor and/or IT.
  • Make basic modifications to Maximo EAM System screens using a screen editor on demand.
  • Archive and restore data; support and maintain Maximo EAM System reports; run queries and create ad hoc reports.
  • Monitor Maximo EAM System performance; troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
  • Serve as liaison between vendor and Maximo EAM System Users to resolve issues.
  • Support all Maximo environments, including testing, development, pre-prod, training, and Production.
  • Clear understanding of Maximo EAM from user point of view; ability to administer and configure EAM database and applications, including implementation, security setup, maintenance, deployment, upgrade, and customization.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise asset and work management processes; Oracle database and SQL script and JDBC applications.
  • Experience in application support/user Help Desks; administer clustered Maximo Asset Management application environment.
  • Strong PC skills, Microsoft Office applications; demonstrated experience working with database applications.
  • Knowledge of configuring IIS, Windows and Linux Servers, WebSphere, and Maximo Asset management suite, IBM Control Desk, Spatial, BIM, Maximo mobile/Anywhere, Cognos.
  • Knowledge of querying and configuring BIRT and Cognos Reports.
  • Knowledge of administering and configuring Oracle.
  • Knowledge of and Maximo Anywhere/ mobile apps configuration.
  • Knowledge of creating and modifying BIRT/Cognos 'ad hoc' reports.
  • Knowledge of LDAP single sign on authentication.
  • Experience with latest Windows and Linux Servers.
  • Must be an experienced IT person with the understanding of relational databases and networks.
  • Understanding of data processing concepts and techniques.
  • Knowledge of SQL skills.
  • Experience in managing the Configuration Change Management process.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with IBM Certified Associate in Maximo asset management 7.6 or latest version.
  • Required Network +, Security+ and Server + or equivalent or higher-level certifications.
