About the position

The Mazak 5-Axis Programmer/Engineer at Acero Precision is responsible for programming and setting up Mazak Variaxis and Integrex machines for production. This full-time, on-site role requires expertise in Mazatrol and Mastercam, along with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. The Engineer will lead a team of Mazak Machinists to ensure efficient production and high-quality results, contributing to the company's reputation for excellence in precision-engineered components.

Responsibilities

• Program and set up Mazak Variaxis and Integrex machines for production.
• Lead a team of Mazak Machinists to ensure efficient production.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to understand geometric requirements and tolerances.
• Generate CNC programs using CAD/CAM software and manual programming methods.
• Conduct first article inspections for newly machined parts.
• Maintain production goals through attention to the machining process from start to finish.
• Utilize advanced machine shop mathematics and CAD/CAM software.
• Inspect parts for quality and adherence to specifications.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge with Mazatrol and Mastercam.
• At least three years of strong CNC programming experience.
• At least three years of CNC machining experience with multiple machines.
• Experience managing teams running several machines simultaneously.
• Experience in mentoring and coaching Class 1 Machinists.
• Ability to set up and operate CNC Machines without engineering support.
