About the position
Helaina is a VC-backed biotech startup creating a new category of functional food products. Our vision is to bring the functional properties of human proteins to food. Helaina will be the first company to put human milk proteins into food, defining a new category of consumer nutrition products focused on supporting immunity. We see a range of opportunities to use our breast milk proteins to enhance other types of functional foods for all segments of the population. In this role, you will work with our NYC team to operationalize & support core parts of our growing business. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, motivated self-starter with a strong sense of initiative.
Responsibilities
- Market research and analysis to inform product and business expansion decisions
- Content development for diligence and presentation materials such as board decks, partnership presentations, investor presentations, financial models
- Operational support for go-to-market planning and execution
- Operational support for sales efforts such as preparing presentations, analyzing data and support preparing reports
- Ad hoc operations requests such as procurement, event management, etc.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an MBA degree program or equivalent degree
- At least two years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or finance
- Expertise in financial modeling, market analysis, and strategic planning
- Proactive self-starter, working independently to move projects and tasks forward to completion
- Ability to work collaboratively on multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
- Critical thinking with demonstrated research and analysis skills
- Exceptional organization, efficiency and attention to detail
- Comfortable working remotely and in a rapidly growing and evolving organization
- Passionate about Helaina's philosophy and mission
- Experience or demonstrated interest in startups
- Experience in the food sector or foodtech
