About the position

The MBA Program Coordinator at California State University, Monterey Bay is responsible for providing professional student services that enhance the learning experience for MBA students. This role involves coordinating registration processes, managing admissions, and supporting student success initiatives, all under the supervision of the Director of Extended Education Programs & Student Services. The coordinator will also engage in program development and maintain effective communication with students and educational partners.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all registration processes and graduation requirements for MBA students.
  • Communicate campus policies and procedures to students and assist in resolving issues related to admissions, records, and registration.
  • Collaborate with student services departments to ensure effective support for student success.
  • Coordinate the MBA program admission process and facilitate student onboarding.
  • Plan and promote special events to increase student success and retention.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of program tools and systems.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in a related field.
  • Two years of professional experience in student services or a related field, with evidence of competence and potential for growth.
  • A master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of professional experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of recruitment, admission, enrollment, and retention processes.
  • Excellent customer service and critical thinking skills.
  • Technical fluency with Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle-PeopleSoft.
