This includes reserving necessary facilities, coordinating communications, and marketing efforts for the program. The Coordinator will also play a key role in budget preparation and monitoring for MBA-related programs, ensuring that expenses are accurately recorded and submitted. Supervision of student workers is another important aspect of this position, which includes hiring, training, and providing regular feedback to ensure that all job duties are met effectively. The Engineering MBA Program at Texas A&M University offers a unique opportunity for graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering to pursue an MBA immediately after graduation, without the need for prior full-time work experience. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a resource to the Director and Assistant Director to support students' academic and personal development needs.
  • Provide academic advising for graduate students, including course selection, registration, and academic planning.
  • Manage academic requirements and implement intervention strategies for students receiving academic alerts.
  • Facilitate timely degree plan and graduation application submissions.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding the Engineering MBA program and maintain student records and databases.
  • Process paperwork such as certificates, degree plans, and grade changes.
  • Compile MBA Program statistics for assessments of students and faculty.
  • Assist with planning and implementing program events such as lectures, seminars, and student orientations.
  • Coordinate program communications and marketing, including newsletters and presentations for student meetings.
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the budget for MBA-related programs and events.
  • Supervise student workers for the Full-Time and Engineering MBA Programs, including hiring and training.
  • Coordinate logistics, registration, and travel arrangements for student and staff travel for case competitions and conferences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Two years of program/project administration, event or logistical planning, or related experience.
  • Experience in academic advising and event planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with sound judgment.
  • Exceptional skills in emotional intelligence, conflict management, communication, organization, and customer service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in social sciences, business, humanities, student affairs, education, or related field.
  • Experience using administrative systems at Texas A&M University or similar platforms.
  • Experience working with graduate or undergraduate students of varying backgrounds.
