About the position

The Cloud Security Engineer will research, design, and develop automation and cybersecurity solutions to protect sensitive information in AWS. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders to identify the right tools and techniques for secure cloud-hosted solutions, while also leading the team in a critical design approach to balance security and mission needs.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop automation and cybersecurity solutions for AWS.
• Coordinate with investment teams, executives, clients, and vendors to identify appropriate tools and techniques.
• Investigate new techniques and move away from legacy models to align with industry trends.
• Lead the team in designing secure and effective cloud-hosted solutions.
• Provide alternatives and customize solutions to meet security and mission needs.

Requirements

• Experience monitoring threats, weaknesses, and vulnerabilities in cloud platforms.
• Experience researching cloud security best practices and AWS capabilities.
• Experience developing security architecture and policy documents.
• Experience drafting and managing System Security Plans and Information System Contingency Plans.
• Experience leading security controls reviews and addressing findings.
• Knowledge of security compliance regulations.
• Public Trust clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in applying and managing physical security requirements.
• Experience in military or civilian government.
