About the position

The MBI Cleared DBA position at Insight Global involves supporting a federal client by managing and maintaining databases, ensuring data integrity, and implementing cybersecurity measures. The role requires collaboration with data architects and IT specialists to set up, maintain, and monitor data networks, while also focusing on performance monitoring and updates of hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Support a federal client by managing and maintaining databases.
• Extract and load data as required.
• Set up cybersecurity measures to protect data.
• Ensure all hardware and software are updated regularly.
• Authenticate data to maintain integrity.
• Monitor the performance of hardware and software systems.
• Configure servers and databases for optimal performance.
• Preserve data integrity through best practices.
• Execute database queries as needed.
• Apply knowledge of database design and theories in daily tasks.
• Utilize database structure languages, such as SQL or SQL/PSM.

Requirements

• 2-4+ years of professional experience in database administration.
• Experience with AWS Postgres RDS.
• Experience in extracting and loading data.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity measures and best practices.
• Ability to monitor and update hardware and software.
• Experience with database queries and design theories.
• Familiarity with database management best practices.
• Experience with server installation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of AWS, MongoDB, or Neo4J is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
