About the position

The MDM Cloud Data Architect will lead the development and implementation of Master Data Management (MDM) solutions as part of large digital transformation projects. This role involves ensuring data quality, security, and governance while leveraging MDM tools and cloud platforms to create data products within a Data Mesh architecture. The architect will also mentor team members and uphold high development standards throughout client engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a MDM lead in large digital transformation journeys.
  • Build MDM solutions using tools like Informatica, Reltio, Oracle MDM, or IBM MDM.
  • Ensure data quality and governance of the MDM solution.
  • Implement data security measures for controlled access to MDM solutions.
  • Familiarize with Data Mesh architectures and provision MDM solutions as Data products.
  • Shape opportunities and create execution approaches throughout client engagements.
  • Set development standards and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Mentor, support, and manage team members.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in designing complex data models, including hierarchical, hub-and-spoke, and dimensional models.
  • Hands-on experience with MDM tools like Informatica MDM, Reltio, IBM MDM, or Oracle MDM.
  • Familiarity with different MDM implementation styles - Centralized, Registry, Consolidation, Coexistence.
  • Understanding of data governance principles, data quality standards, and metadata management.
  • Ability to define and enforce data standards, such as naming conventions, data formats, and data types.
  • Experience in integrating data from various sources into the MDM hub using ETL processes.
  • Knowledge of enhancing master data with additional information, such as product specifications or customer preferences.
  • Experience in ensuring data consistency across different systems by synchronizing changes to master data records.
  • Knowledge of protecting sensitive master data through access controls, encryption, and masking.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and their integration with MDM solutions.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of designing and developing APIs for data integration and consumption with MDM.
