About the position

The Data/ETL Test Engineer role at Capgemini focuses on ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and quality across systems, particularly in IBM Master Data Management (MDM) implementations. Responsibilities

  • Conduct testing on MDM implementations, focusing on IBM MDM to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across systems.
  • Perform Data and ETL testing to validate data transformation, extraction, and loading processes.
  • Write and execute SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks on large datasets.
  • Develop and maintain test cases, test data, and automation scripts for comprehensive data testing.
  • Use Python to automate repetitive testing tasks and create custom data analysis scripts to improve testing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with data architects, developers, and analysts to resolve data issues and enhance testing processes.
  • Document test results, provide feedback, and recommend improvements for data integrity and testing practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong expertise in IBM MDM and data testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data validation and reconciliation.
  • Experience in ETL testing and data transformation processes.
  • Programming experience in Python for automation and data analysis.
  • Proven track record in testing large datasets and ensuring data quality in MDM implementations.
  • Familiarity with data modeling and database concepts.
  • Hands-on experience in writing and executing test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
