About the position

As a member of the Retail Device Management team at Apple, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Apple Retail devices worldwide. This position focuses on Mobile Device Management (MDM) for MacOS and iOS platforms, involving comprehensive testing methodologies to uphold Apple's high-quality standards. You will work collaboratively with developers and project managers to enhance testing processes and address technical challenges, contributing to the overall success of the retail experience.

Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive MDM tests on various mobile platforms, including iOS and macOS, using industry-leading MDM solutions.
  • Design, develop, and implement automated and manual front-end tests on web and mobile applications to ensure a flawless user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to test back-end systems, performing API testing, database queries, stress testing, and scalability testing.
  • Conduct detailed accessibility audits of applications to ensure compliance with web accessibility guidelines and implement remediation strategies.
  • Document testing results, defects, and issues clearly, using Jira or similar tools to track progress and collaborate with multi-functional teams.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in mobile applications, MDM, front-end, back-end, and accessibility testing.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Mobile Device Management (MDM) concepts and solutions.
  • Experience with manual testing methodologies and toolkits.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python or Java for automated testing.
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing tools and guidelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify and reproduce bugs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Apple Retail experience.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of back-end technologies, such as server-side programming, databases, or APIs.
