As a member of the Retail Device Management team at Apple, you will play a crucial role in handling, securing, and supporting all Apple Retail devices worldwide. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality and reliability of our tools focused on Mobile Device Management (MDM) for MacOS and iOS platforms, as well as related applications and infrastructure. This position requires a strong understanding of testing methodologies, which you will apply to MDM protocols, iOS, and web applications. You will be expected to uphold Apple's high-quality standards while continuously seeking new ways to improve testing methodologies and efficacy. In this role, you will execute comprehensive MDM tests on various mobile platforms, including iOS and macOS, utilizing industry-leading MDM solutions. You will also design, develop, and implement both automated and manual front-end tests on web and mobile applications to ensure a flawless user experience across different browsers and devices. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with developers to test back-end systems, performing API testing, database queries, stress testing, and scalability testing to identify and resolve performance issues. Accessibility is a key focus, and you will conduct detailed audits of our applications to ensure compliance with web accessibility guidelines, implementing remediation strategies to improve accessibility for users. Effective communication is essential, as you will document testing results, defects, and issues clearly and concisely, using tools like Jira to track testing progress and collaborate with multi-functional teams. Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in mobile applications, MDM, front-end, back-end, and accessibility testing will be part of your ongoing responsibilities, including participating in training and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge.
