About the position
As a member of the Meat department at Mariano's, you will be responsible for performing general clean-up and stock work while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Perform general clean-up and stock work in the Meat department.
- Provide customer service and engage with customers in a friendly manner.
- Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
- Unload and store merchandise, prepare and display foods according to company standards.
- Monitor product quality to ensure freshness and safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in sales areas, backrooms, and coolers.
- Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils following company and Health Department policies.
- Operate cash register in accordance with company procedures, as applicable.
- Perform required temperature monitoring and maintain proper signage for products.
Requirements
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, and training materials.
- Ability to multi-task and set priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Personal initiative and follow-through to completion.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Must be able to work with various cleaning solutions and safely use sharp tools.

- Previous experience in food preparation.
