About the position

The Meat/Produce Team Associate is responsible for the operation of the department, ensuring food safety and compliance while providing excellent customer service. This role involves preparing and handling food products, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting customers with their needs in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain area of responsibility by following company policies for food preparation, handling, packaging, labeling, and storage.
• Operate and sanitize food-related equipment, stock and display food products, and maintain cleanliness according to food safety regulations.
• Provide customer service by identifying customer needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, and resolving customer issues.
• Prepare merchandise based on daily production needs by operating department equipment and ensuring proper storage and labeling of products.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity in executing business processes.
• Complete work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers and co-workers, identifying priorities, and communicating progress.

Requirements

• No formal schooling required.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Experience in food handling and customer service is preferred.
