About the position

The Packaging Mechanic Level II at PCI Pharma Services is responsible for performing mechanical and electrical equipment repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on packaging machinery. This role requires adherence to company policies and safety standards while ensuring optimal equipment performance and process improvements. The position involves working independently or as part of a team, providing guidance and training to others, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical equipment repairs and troubleshooting on packaging machinery.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks as trained on designated equipment.
• Execute minor changeovers and document all equipment challenges as per MPI.
• Maintain records and documentation as required.
• Operate and interface with on-line computers and describe start-up, operation, and shutdown procedures for each piece of equipment.
• Provide guidance, assistance, leadership, and training in the performance of duties.
• Maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and safe order.
• Demonstrate competency on all requirements for Packaging Mechanic - Levels 1.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required.
• Internal candidates must have completed on-the-job training from Level 1 mechanic position and be in good standing.
• External candidates are preferred to have an industrial maintenance certificate or documentation of internal training at a previous employer.
• Internal candidates should have a minimum of 2-4 years in the current technical role as a Level 1 mechanic or equivalent proficiency.
• External candidates should have a minimum of 4-6 years in a technical role with a demonstrated understanding of packaging or mechanical maintenance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with various hand and power tools as per training administered.
• Proven success in changeovers and production coverage.
