About the position

The Mechanical Engineer position involves supporting Combat Vehicles programs by integrating vehicle sub-system components onto vehicle platforms. The role requires collaboration within the Mechanical Engineering group to ensure compliance with engineering standards and military specifications while maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine mechanical designs to meet specified requirements for ground vehicle applications in a defense environment.
• Incorporate design revisions and release updates through the PTC CREO system, following all necessary design change processes.
• Analyze and interpret design specifications, drawings, documentation, models, and test results to ensure compliance with engineering standards, military specifications, and product requirements.
• Participate in design and process reviews, interfacing with senior members of the integrated product team to address and update on project issues.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company safety regulations.

Requirements

• Proficiency with CREO or similar CAD software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.
• Solid engineering analytical skills with a deep understanding of GD&T for drawings.
• Experience in analyzing bolted joints and performing tolerance analyses.

Nice-to-haves

• Extensive experience with PTC CREO (2+ years) for creating models and drawings.
• Familiarity with military vehicle design and requirements.
